At long last, local fans have a way to watch the Avalanche again!
For the first time since 2019, local Colorado Avalanche fans will finally have a couple of ways to easily watch their team again! Earlier this morning, Altitude TV announced the launch of both a new streaming app, called Altitude+, along with a broadcast agreement to show 20 Colorado Avalanche and 20 Denver Nuggets games on Denver’s 9News and My20 TV channels for free.

Altitude+ will be released in October and is a monthly subscription service costing $19.95 per month. Those who subscribe to the platform must live inside Altitude’s pre-existing broadcast territory. If you already have access to the Altitude Sports channel through your TV provider, you can sign up for the Altitude+ platform at no additional cost, once the platform fully launches of course, if you would like.
If you live outside of Altitude’s broadcast territory, you’ll still need a streaming service such as ESPN+ to watch non-nationally televised games, as Altitude+ is an option for local, in-market viewers, as previously touched on. As previously mentioned, Altitude has also reached an agreement to broadcast 20 Colorado Avalanche games for free locally on Denver’s 9News and My20 TV channels. The schedule for the Avalanche games that will be broadcast locally can be found right down below.

While these options might not be absolutely perfect, there is no denying that Altitude certainly made their teams and games more accessible to local fans today. It absolutely seems like a step in the right direction to make sure that people can actually watch this incredible era of Avalanche hockey.
