Colorado announces their training camp roster on the eve of training camp.
As we are less than one day away from Colorado’s training camp commencing, we finally got a look at the official training camp roster comprised of 55 players vying for a spot on the 2024-25 Colorado Avalanche.

Overall, the majority of the list is comprised of people that attended camp last year. There’s not much to say about those on the roster who attended camp last year, as we already know who they are, where they’ll likely play, so on and so forth. There are some players on AHL contracts however, as well as one PTO.
As covered last week, Pierre-Édouard Bellemare is returning to Colorado on a professional tryout contract this year, which makes him the only PTO signing for this year. Gabe Landeskog was on the roster last year as well, so him being on it this year is likely a formality of sorts and probabaly not an indication that he’ll be ready to go for opening night, but we’ve expected that for a while now. As is the case for Val Nichushkin.
It’ll be exciting to see players back in action tomorrow as training camp kicks off, bringing us closer once again to hockey season being back!
