All Avalanche
- Game Two between the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars went down late last night and didn’t quite go in Colorado’s favor despite the late push and effort. The series shifts back to Denver for Game Three on Saturday night. (Mile High Hockey)
- Joel Kiviranta returned to the lineup for the first time after missing Game Four and Five against the Winnipeg Jets after suffering a lower-body injury. He was joined in yesterday’s morning skate by Johnathan Drouin, still recovering from a skate cut. Could he actually be making his return in the coming games in this series?

- In the other series occurring last night before the Avs/Stars game, the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes went to overtime for the second straight game. While this one didn’t go into double overtime, it would be the Rangers coming out on top once again thanks to a beautiful Artemi Panarin winner. (Blueshirt Banter)

- A new professional hockey league is coming to North America with some weird quirks and questionable financial backing.
I’m hearing that a good chunk of the venture capital is coming from…. Saudi Arabia.
Bauer is also apparently involved somehow.
As Steve reports, the league will have a $30M (!!!) salary cap. https://t.co/vu8IxqGQYw
