It was a hot start in Montreal for the Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon scoring Canada’s first goal of the tournament. Perhaps he received some extra motivation as he got a special message from his sister ahead of puck drop on the Four Nations festivities.

Elsewhere, details emerged of a deal new Carolina Hurricanes forward Mikko Rantanen made with fellow Hurricanes teammate Jack Roslovic to procure his trusty #96, which involved acquiring a particular Rolex watch.
In exchange for his preferred number, Mikko Rantanen made a deal with Jack Roslovic.
