It was a sleepy July weekend without much hockey news as we await the two months to training camp. However, there was one event of note held in Russia where a select group of NHL All-Stars competed in a charity game against KHL All-Stars.
Colorado Avalanche top prospect standout goaltender Ilya Nabokov was in attendance representing the KHL and had a good time doing so even meeting fellow champion Florida Panther Sergei Bobrovsky.

The fun began when Nabokov got to show off some of his talents making excellent stops on the likes of Kirill Marchenko and Artemi Panarin. It shouldn’t be too long before he tests himself for real in a NHL setting. And for those curious, no other Avalanche related player was in attendance at the event.
