- The Stanley Cup Final is set between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. Florida returns for the second straight year, and it’s the fifth year in a row the East is represented by a Floridian team. Meanwhile, Edmonton took down the Dallas Stars in Game Six Sunday night and is the first Canadian team to make the final for the first time since 2021, when the Montreal Canadiens oddly played the Tampa Bay Lightning. The previously non-pandemic-affected Canadian team to make it was the Vancouver Canucks in 2011 against the Boston Bruins.
