It’s a Colorado Avalanche game day!
The Colorado Avalanche welcome the New York Islanders to town for the first time this season for the second of a four-game homestand. Both teams enter looking for their first wins of the season after slow starts.
But perhaps more important is the story behind the benches. Patrick Roy, hired by the Isles last year, returns to Ball Arena for the first time since his late-summer departure before the start of the 2016-17 season. It’s sure to make it an interesting storyline heading into this one.
