It’s another Colorado Avalanche game day!
After a disappointing outcome on the road against the St. Louis Blues, the Colorado Avalanche return home tonight to take on the Vegas Golden Knights. This will be the third and final matchup between these two teams for the regular season, with each team having won a game previously.

Colorado Avalanche
Colorado returns home to Denver today after finishing up a three-game road trip. On that road trip, Colorado lost a couple more players to injury, with Jonathan Drouin and Martin Necas getting injured. However, neither of them seem to be seriously injured, as Bednar does hope to get them in this week, though it might not be tonight.
Bednar is hoping all the injured players (Necas, Drouin, Manson, and Girard) will play this week. Said it’s very possible.
He wasn’t sure any will play tomorrow, though.

Assuming those players don’t play tonight, the Avs will need other players in the lineup to step up tonight in order to secure another important two points against this Vegas team here tonight.
Projected Lineup
Artturi Lehkonen – Nathan MacKinnon – Valeri Nichushkin
Joel Kiviranta – Brock Nelson – Ross Colton
Miles Wood – Charlie Coyle – Jimmy Vesey
Parker Kelly – Jack Drury – Logan O’Connor
Devon Toews – Cale Makar
Ryan Lindgren – Sam Malinski
Keaton Middleton – Erik Johnson
Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas currently has a pretty solid hold on the first spot in the Pacific Division, and look to keep their hold on that spot in the Pacific before the playoffs start. For that matter, both of these teams have pretty solid holds on their current positions in their respetive divisions, and they’ll both be looking to maintain their positions respectfully. Colorado will need to be sharp here tonight in order to secure another two points against a team looking to hold onto their top spot.
Projected Lineup
Ivan Barbashev – Jack Eichel – Mark Stone
Branon Saad – Brett Howden – Pavel Dorofeyev
Victor Olofsson – William Karlsson – Reilly Smith
Tanner Pearson – Nicolas Roy – Keegan Kolesar
Brayden McNabb – Shea Theodore
Nicolas Hague – Alex Pietrangelo
Noah Hanifin – Zach Whitecloud
Goaltenders
For Colorado, it appears Scott Wedgewood appears to be going in net tonight for them. While he’ll have to be up to the task against this Vegas team tonight, he’ll also need the team in front of him to defend a lot of net-front opportunities to make his job easier. Adin Hill will likely get the start for Vegas tonight as well.
