The future is bright for these stars.
Tonight, the future is made for several up and coming hockey stars.
The NHL Draft takes place in Las Vegas tonight starting at 7:00 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN, NHL Network, Sportsnet, and TVAS. It takes place at the historic Las Vegas Sphere, a major new venue for the league in what may be the final on-location draft.
Macklin Celebrini is likely to go first to the San Jose Sharks, being a part of the Bay Area with family in the area once again. After the first pick, who knows where we go. Mile High Hockey will be on location to find out!
In terms of the Colorado Avalanche and their situation, they have the 24th pick in the first round. In our MHH Mock Draft, I took Jett Luchanko as the pick, but who knows if he will actually fall far enough for the Avs to get. Look for the possibility of moves being made, with the likes of Ross Colton and Josh Manson being linked with possible moves before the start of free agency on Monday.
After coming off wins from Nathan MacKinnon last night at the NHL Awards, who could join him as a great teammate down the line? We’ll see what Chris MacFarland, Joe Sakic and Andrew Cogliano have up their sleeves.
