After winning three of their four games on a road trip, Colorado hopes to get back on track.
After wrapping up their most recent road trip, the Colorado Avalanche return home for a big game against the Vegas Golden Knights. This will be the second of three matchups between these two teams, with Vegas winning the first one by a final score of 8-4. Colorado also kicks off a critical three games in four nights stretch of games over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Colorado Avalanche
After ending their most recent road trip on a sour note with an 8-2 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Colorado returns home to Denver for a matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights. Despite the poor ending to their road trip, the Avs won three out of their four games on the road and had a successful overall road trip.
On a bit of a negative note, it was announced this morning that Jonathan Drouin will be out week-to-week due to injury, after scoring two goals against the Florida Panthers this past weekend.
Injury updates per Bednar on @AltitudeSR Drouin (UBI) is now out week-to-week. But good news that Colton will begin skating soon.

On a bit of a more positive note however, it looks like we’ll get another NHL debut tonight for the Avs, as Chase Bradley was recalled ahead of tonight’s game along with Ivan Ivan and Nikolai Kovalenko. While you need guys to step up on any given night, and this game is no exception, especially with Drouin out of the lineup once again.
In addition to Ivan Ivan and Nikolai Kovalenko, the Avs have recalled Chase Bradley from the Colorado Eagles. https://t.co/6RSgeh32s6

Projected Lineup
Artturi Lehkonen – Nathan MacKinnon – Mikko Rantanen
Valeri Nichushkin – Casey Mittelstadt – Ivan Ivan
Joel Kiviranta – Parker Kelly – Logan O’Connor
Miles Wood – Chase Bradley – Nikolai Kovalenko
Devon Toews – Cale Makar
Samuel Girard – Josh Manson
Calvin De Haan – Sam Malinski
Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights come into this game off of a 5-4 victory in the shootout against the Philadelphia Flyers. That victory did come after they fell behind three goals though. While they were able to mount a comeback against the Flyers and ultimately win that game, call me crazy, but that’s not the way they should be hoping to win tonight’s game. Falling behind by multiple goals against a high-octaine offense like Colorado’s is not the way to win a hockey game.
Projected Lineup
Ivan Barbashev – Jack Eichel – Cal Burke
Tomas Hertl – Nicholas Roy – Keegan Kolesar
Tanner Pearson – Brett Howden – Pavel Dorofeyev
Mason Morelli – Cole Schwindt – Alexander Holtz
Brayden McNabb – Shea Theadore
Noah Hanafin – Nicolas Hague
Kaeden Korczak – Zach Whitecloud
Goaltenders
To probabaly no one’s surprise, Alexandar Georgiev will be in net tonight for the Avs here tonight, and will likely be going against Adin Hill. After Colorado’s last outing against Tampa Bay, they will certainly need Georgiev to step up here tonight and help propel them to a win against Vegas.
