The defensive back and tight end prospects will hit the field to take part in the on-field workout part of the Combine
The Broncos’ key decision makers will be watching the tight end workouts in hopes of finding a ‘Joker’ for Sean Payton. However, multiple top tight ends, including Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, Mason Taylor, Elijah Arroyo, and others will not be working out. This will open up the opportunity for another prospect to stand out and help improve their draft stock ahead of the start of the 2025 NFL Draft.
They’ll also be looking at the defensive backs in this draft. You can never have enough talented corners on your team and they have a need at safety. So, we’ll have to see if any players standout to the Broncos decision makers during these workouts.
Once the players hit the field, they will have the opportunity to take part in multiple drills including the 40-yard dash. Coaches and scouts will track these numbers and help produce their profiles and rankings for these prospects. The on-the-field drills the players will participate in include the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill, 20-yard shuttle, and 60-yard shuttle.
