It looks like the Denver Broncos might not lose defensive coordinator Vance Joseph this offseason.
Joseph interviewed for head coach openings with the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders, but did not get either job. The Jets instead hired Aaron Glenn and the Raiders hired Pete Carroll.
So, are there any head coach openings left for Joseph in 2025?
The New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys are the only two clubs yet to hire a new head coach, and Joseph has not been linked to either opening. Joseph is presumably not a candidate for the Saints or Cowboys, which means he is set to remain with the Broncos for another season.
NFL head coach hirings
New England Patriots: Mike Vrabel
Chicago Bears: Ben Johnson
New York Jets: Aaron Glenn
Jacksonville Jaguars: Liam Coen
Las Vegas Raiders: Pete Carroll
New Orleans Saints: TBD
Dallas Cowboys: TBD
Joseph’s defense ranked eighth in takeaways (25), seventh in yards allowed (317.1 PG), third in points allowed (18.3 PG) and first in sacks (63) this season. It looks like the unit will have its DC back on the job in 2025.
