Even though we’re midway through June, there are still plenty of good NFL free agents remaining on the open market. Each one of these guys is more than capable of helping a team win and should be able to find a new home before the start of the season.

Top Remaining Free Agents, Ideal Landing Spots
DeAndre Hopkins
From the looks of it, DeAndre Hopkins might be on the list of remaining free agents for long. The three-time All-Pro already had a visit with the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, and more teams could easily follow in the near future. Hopkins might not be the player he once was, but he is still a reliable weapon that might be too expensive for some of the better teams in the league. If he wants to win, he’ll take a bit of a paycut. If it’s all about the money, he’ll stick with the Titans or a receiver-needy team like the Carolina Panthers.
Ideal Team Fits: Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers
Dalvin Cook
It wasn’t that long ago that teams would fight over the opportunity to sign a talented 27-year-old running back coming off four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. However, the NFL landscape is constantly evolving, and Dalvin Cook might have to take a pay cut in 2023. Even if it comes at a discounted rate, the four-time Pro Bowler can still help a team win and should be one of the better runners in the league for his new home.

Yannick Ngakoue
Yannick Ngakoue might not be the most effective run defender in the league, but does that really matter in today’s pass-heavy NFL? The top remaining free agent pass rusher has bounced around the league over the past few years, but he has always managed to get after the quarterback. Fresh off a 9.5-sack season, Ngakoue still has what it takes to be part of a ferocious pass rush.
Ideal Team Fits: New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs
Jadeveon Clowney
At this point in his career, Jadeveon Clowney is probably better off as a rotational pass rusher, rather than an every-down starter. However, that doesn’t mean he can’t be effective in the right role. The former first-overall pick is still effective in the right role and is an ideal player for a team looking for a jack of all trades, master of none on the edge. He can do a little bit of everything, and that versatility is crucial in an injury-filled sport like football.
Ideal Team Fits: Arizona Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders
Dalton Risner
Wrapping up this list of remaining free agents is Dalton Risner. Guard might not be the sexiest position in football, but all 32 teams should be interested in having a reliable interior offensive line. Dalton Risner isn’t a superstar, but he’s a reliable starter that can hold his own against interior rushers and clear out running lanes on early downs. Look for Risner to sign at some point in early July and immediately win a starting job.
Ideal Team Fits: Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers
