The Denver Broncos have injuries to several key players ahead of their road game vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here is your Friday injury update.
The Denver Broncos will be without edge rusher Baron Browning this week as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That was kind of expected given they elevated one edge rusher from the practice squad and signed another to it. Also out for this game will be safety JL Skinner. Everyone else worked their way back to a full participant on Friday and should be good to go.
The same cannot be said of the Buccaneers. They’ll be down four total starters, but three of those on defense with defensive lineman Calijah Kancey and safety Antoine Winfield ruled out. Nose tackle Vita Vea is doubtful and most of the time that ends up being a guy who sits that game. They’ve also got defensive lineman William Gholston who is questionable for this game.
In short, if the Broncos were going to have an opportunity in this game it helps to have a lot of their best players sitting out. Of course, none of that matters if the offense continues on its 13 PPG trendline again in Week 3.
