The Denver Broncos special teams collapses as the Las Vegas Raiders go into halftime up 13-9.
The Las Vegas Raiders began the second quarter with a first and 10 from the Denver Broncos 19-yard line. Gardner Minshew on first down found an open guy at the Broncos ten yard line. An inside handoff got the first down at the six yard line for a first and goal.
Minshew would float a pass over rookie Jonah Elliss to Amee Abdullah for the touchdown to put the Raiders up for the first time in the game.

It seemed as if the offensive struggles from earlier in the season have become a thing of the past as Bo Nix just seems to be seeing the field well over the last six weeks. His quick processing and accurate passes got the Broncos right back across midfield on their next drive.
From there Nix fired a deep shot over the middle for a 24-yard reception by Devaughn Vele to get the Broncos into field goal range. The drive would stall there as the Raiders defensive line began to give the Broncos offensive line fits, but the field goal would cut the Raiders lead to 1.

After forcing a quick three and out, it looked like the Broncos were going to get the ball back but a fake punt went for a 34-yard gain.

Special teams was killing the Broncos in this game as both big plays led to both Raiders scores up to that point in the game. The Broncos defense was able to come up big with a stop to force a field goal on that drive, at least.

With just under four minutes to go in the half, Bo Nix and the Broncos offense needed a score before halftime. Marvin Mims Jr. was a half step from housing a screen pass, but it ended up a ten yard gain. Audric Estime then took a carry for nine yards to put the Broncos close to midfield after just two plays. Estime would get the first down on the next handoff gaining two yards to bring the game to the two minute warning.
Nix threw it deep down the sideline to Courtland Sutton who drew defensive pass interference to set the Broncos offense up just outside the Raiders 30 yard line.
Things went south from there and were lucky to end the series on a fourth and 13 and just barely in field goal range.

The Raiders offense smelled blood in the water and put together a drive with less than a minute to go in the half to regain their 4-point lead into halftime.
