In 2023, Denver Broncos inside linebacker Alex Singleton led the team with 177 tackles. Three years ago, Singleton totaled 163 tackles.
Nobody on Denver’s defense came close to those totals in 2024. The Broncos only had two players above 100 tackles this year — safety Brandon Jones and linebacker Cody Barton.
Jones became the team’s first safety since Brian Dawkins (2009) to top 100 tackles in a single season. That’s right, Justin Simmons came close in 2018 (97), 2020 (96) and 2019 (93), but he never hit 100 tackles.
Broncos leaders in tackles 2024
- DB Brandon Jones: 115 tackles
- LB Cody Barton: 106 tackles
- CB Riley Moss: 86 tackles
- CB Ja’Quan McMillian: 81 tackles
- DB P.J. Locke: 74 tackles
- LB Justin Strnad: 73 tackles
- DL Zach Allen: 61 tackles
- OLB Jonathon Cooper: 58 tackles
- OLB Nik Bonitto: 48 tackles
- CB Pat Surtain: Pat Surtain: 45 tackles
- DL Malcolm Roach: 43 tackles
- DL D.J. Jones: 42 tackles
Barton and Strnad are both scheduled to become free agents in March, so it’s possible that Denver might have to replace its top two linebackers (in terms of tackles) this spring.
