Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been officially nominated for NFL.com’s 2024 Rookie of the Year award, voted on by fans.
Nix was the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, hand-selected by head coach Sean Payton out of the University of Oregon. After winning a three-man battle for the starting quarterback job, Nix thrived in the Denver offense, although it did take a few weeks.
Nix went 376-of-567 passing (66.3%) for 3,775 yards with 29 touchdowns and a 93.3 passer rating. He also added 430 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown en route to the Broncos’ first winning season since 2016. Nix also led Denver to its first playoff appearance since the club won Super Bowl 50 in 2015.
Although the Broncos lost in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs to the Buffalo Bills, Nix led all rookie quarterbacks in passing yards, passing touchdowns and total touchdowns in 2024.
After setting historic numbers as a first-year signal-caller, Nix will hopefully earn the recognition he deserves. Fans can vote for Nix on NFL.com.
