The Denver Broncos took another big hit to their offensive line with the loss of Mike McGlinchey.
The Denver Broncos have placed right tackle Mike McGlinchey on injured reserve. He’ll be out a minimum of four weeks. His replacement in the meantime will be Alex Palczewski.
McGlinchey suffered an MCL sprain during the Broncos loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and it is severe enough to warrant a trip to injured reserve. He’s be eligible to return by the Broncos Week 7 road game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back the following week given it would be a short week of prep to return for that game in New Orleans.
Palczewski was an undrafted free agent last year and will get some significant starter work for the next four games at least.
The Broncos also promoted rookie edge rusher Dondrea Tillman to the active roster in what could be a sign that Baron Browning’s foot injury might keep him out of action this week. Tillman had an excellent training camp and impressed in preseason work, which is a big reason why he’s on the practice squad and getting that elevation to the active roster this week.
They also signed former Los Angeles Chargers undrafted free agent signing Andrew Farmer to the practice squad to round out today’s roster moves. Farmer played in 8 game as a rookie last season.
