There are plenty of silver linings from the loss to the Chiefs
Good morning, Broncos Country!
When the Denver Broncos lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10 it brought about some big emotions. I, for one, took more time than I probably should have to get my heart rate back down to normal.
And back down to normal also meant the chance to ponder the loss with clear thoughts. What I landed on was not devastating. It was actually encouraging.
The Broncos hung with the defending Super Bowl champs. They went shot for shot, and in the end, had more than a chance to win the game.
In fact, Bo Nix outplayed Patrick Mahomes. He had his team in a position to win, and the worst part of the loss was that Nix was denied a signature comeback win against a hated rival.
Jeff Essary said it best:
Most annoying thing about today’s outcome is Bo Nix being robbed a signature win for his young career.
Went into Arrowhead, out-dueled Mahomes, and lead his team down to the perfect spot for the win.

But Ian mentioned it on Odds and Endzones, and it bears repeating. While heartbreaking, that was a good loss. I know some people don’t believe in good losses. That’s fine. Enjoy missing out on the positive aspects of this game.
Bo Nix looks like he is the guy. The Broncos defense is legit. The players are buying into Sean Payton’s system. The Denver Broncos look like a playoff team, and one that could surprise some teams this year.
Now, they can right the ship against the Atlanta Falcons. If they can do that, the playoffs are well within range.
