One of the Denver Broncos‘ biggest pains has been Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. This week on the New Heights podcast that Travis hosts with his brother, Jason, the younger Kelce had serious praise for the Broncos following Kansas City’s 16-14 win.
Kelce had this to say about Bo Nix, Denver’s rookie quarterback: “Bo Nix, holy [expletive]. That guy was [expletive] ripping it out there yesterday. Playing some good [expletive] football, man.”
The brothers also broke down the blocked field goal to end the game. Jason, a former offensive lineman, offered his take on Alex Forsyth’s position.
“54 is in the position called the tight end position on field goals, and I’m just letting you know this right now people, it is the worst position,” Jason said.
“It is arguably the hardest position on special teams unit,” Travis chimed in. “This guy is being taught to stab the guy that is in the gap inside of him, stab the guy that is in the gap outside of him, and then on top of that, take a (guy) down the center.”
Travis added that coaches tell players in that position to “die slow. That is literally the coaching on it.”
After talking about Forsyth, Travis pivoted to the Broncos’ defense. Travis first complimented defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, saying that it is “an honor” to go against him.
He then joked about cornerback Riley Moss. “Who would’ve thought that one of the best defenses in the league would have a white cornerback,” Travis said. “(Moss) hides it. He wears long sleeves… it’s like camouflage. Honestly, that kid can play.”
