Kansas City Chiefs defenders think highly of Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix.
Before the Super Bowl in New Orleans, Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones was asked about Nix during his media availability last week. The six-time All-Pro and three-time Super Bowl champion gave the young QB a glowing review.
“I think he had an exceptional year as a young player,” Jones said, via KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM. “[I] was able to watch him at Auburn and Oregon, I’ve got so much respect for him. Hopefully he continues his journey of continuing to get better and better. You know, they’ve got a heck of a team over there.”
Jones then went on to describe some of Nix’s strengths.
“He’s patient, he’s decisive,” Jones said. “He knows how to manage the game, take a little risk, relies on what he sees, and [he] knows how to make adjustments. He’s a winner.”

Nix went 22-of-30 for 215 yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers when Denver played in Kansas City in Week 10. Nix also led what could have been a game-winning drive if not for Wil Lutz’s last-second field goal attempt getting blocked on the final play of the game.
Jones posted two tackles and one quarterback hit in Week 10. He is yet to sack Nix, who proved to be an elusive QB in his first year in the NFL.
