In his first 2025 NFL mock draft, NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah has the Denver Broncos using their first round pick to select a South Carolina safety.
Jeremiah’s mock draft projects defensive back Nick Emmanwori landing with the Broncos at pick No. 20 in the first round.
“Emmanwori gave me some Derwin James vibes when I studied him,” Jeremiah wrote on NFL.com. “I love his instincts and production.”
Emmanwori totaled 88 tackles, four interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), three tackles behind the line and two pass breakups in 13 games as a junior last fall. Safety is a key position of need for Denver this offseason, so the pick wouldn’t be shocking.
Of note, Jeremiah’s mock has Penn State tight end Tyler Warren going off the board at No. 7 to the New York Jets and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty going to the Dallas Cowboys at pick No. 12.
Jeremiah has the Broncos passing on Michigan tight end Colston Loveland (Los Angeles Chargers at No. 22). He also has Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka falling out of the first round.

The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin from April 24-26. Denver holds seven picks, including selections in the first four rounds.
