The playoffs drought has finally come to an end. The Denver Broncos have clinched a spot in the postseason and the AFC’s 7th seed.
The Denver Broncos playoff drought is FINALLY over with. With their blowout victory over the Kansas City Chiefs the Denver Broncos have clinched their first postseason berth since Super Bowl 50. They will be the 7th seed in the AFC and head to Buffalo to take on potential MVP-winning quarterback Josh Allen and the explosive Buffalo Bills.

This team has exceeded expectations, proved haters wrong, defied all odds, and made the postseason. They were viewed as one of the worst rosters in the league, they drafted Bo Nix as the 6th quarterback in the first round while being criticized for it, carrying Russell Wilson’s historic dead cap hit, and Vegas had their over/under at 5.5 wins.
Not only did Bo Nix prove doubters wrong, but this roster overachieved while the defense has become of the best in the league this year. They led the league in sacks, have two Defensive Players of the Year candidates, and won 10 games this season.
Bo Nix looks like the real deal and will continue to flourish as Sean Payton and George Paton surround him with more weapons this offseason. First, they have their eyes set on the Bills, a team they upset in Buffalo last season.
It will not be an easy matchup in a tough and cold environment in Buffalo, but the Broncos have played Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, and other offenses tough all season.
Why not the Broncos?
They have a feisty rookie quarterback and a top-rated defense. They say defense wins championships and they did just that in 2015.
Why not the Broncos?
Their Cinderella story continues for one more week and we’ll see if they can shock the world one more time. Either way, the future is bright for the Broncos as this team will build around Bo Nix moving forward as they shed Russell Wilson’s dead cap hit.
