The 2023 NFL season is here, and it all starts for the Denver Broncos Week 1. They face the rival Las Vegas Raiders and will look to get off to an immediate hot start. But although the Broncos have lost six straight games to Las Vegas, there is optimism in Denver. This is a team that is built to win now, and fans believe it can actually happen. And with the roster set, the captains named, and the rivalry ready, the Broncos look poised to win their opening game. Here’s why.
Ready to Win Now: Denver Broncos Week 1
Depth Chart & Captains
Denver’s roster is ready for their Week 1 tilt against the rival Raiders. Their 53-man roster is set. Their depth chart is finalized. And their team captains have been named. Now, all that’s left is to play the game that they have been preparing for all season. This is a roster that has gone under much fine-tuning from head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton. And it is a roster that is built to be instantly competitive with the rest of the league. Week 1 is the first test of many, but the Broncos are ready.
Offense & Defense
Both the offense and the defense could be great strengths for the Denver Broncos Week 1. The offense will be highly focused on running the ball, it will be their very obvious secret weapon. Especially with injuries to the receiving corps, Denver will rely on its runners and its running quarterback. On the defensive side of the ball, Denver will look to improve on last year and make this a defense to be feared. The defense has the potential to make or break this season, but they are more than ready for the challenge.
Raiders & Rivalries
Broncos versus Raiders is a rivalry like none other, and this year will be no different. Denver opens the season at home, under a new head coach, and under new ownership. The time to prove themselves is now, Week 1, and it doesn’t get any easier down the road. However, the table it set for a Denver win. The Raiders have their own transition to work through, with the addition of Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback. Additionally, running back Josh Jacobs was away from the team much of the offseason, and only recently signed with them. Meanwhile, the Broncos have the weapons ready and the defensive capabilities to beat their hated foe.
Denver Broncos Week 1 Game
In order to quiet the doubts, the Denver Broncos need to win, and they are ready to win now. This is a quality roster with veteran leaders and young weapons that can be competitive in every game this season. They have the offensive power and defensive strength to overcome the inevitable obstacles. And this rivalry, played out Week 1, only adds fuel to the fire in the bellies of these players. Denver has the ability to win, and to move on from a disappointing 2022 season, one which they would as soon forget. The path to the playoffs, and to redemption, starts now, and the Broncos are ready.
