The Birmingham Stallions continue stacking talent ahead of the 2025 UFL season. The three-time defending champions of spring football signed former NFL pass rusher Ronnie Perkins earlier this month, per the league.
Perkins (6-3, 253 pounds) spent the first three years of his career with the New England Patriots before joining the Denver Broncos in 2023. Denver initially signed Perkins off New England’s practice squad before later releasing him and re-signing him to their own practice squad.
Perkins dressed for seven games in 2023, totaling 13 tackles and one quarterback hit on 149 snaps. He was placed on the team’s waived/injured list last August and reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. One month later, the Broncos released Perkins from IR with an injury settlement.
Perkins later landed on the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals, but he was cut before the end of the season. The 25-year-old pass rusher will now get a chance to continue his pro football career in the UFL.
