The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran tight end Donald Parham to a one-year contract last week, the team announced (via Steelers Wire).
Parham (6-8, 237 pounds) spent time in Detroit and D.C. early in his NFL career before spending one season in the XFL. He then played four years with the Los Angeles Chargers, hauling in 67 receptions for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns in 47 games (23 starts) from 2020-2023.
After failing to make L.A.’s active roster last summer, Parham signed with the Denver Broncos‘ practice squad. He spent the entire 2024 season on Denver’s practice squad and did not appear in any games.
Following the season, Parham was one of three practice squad players who did not receive reserve/future contract deals from the Broncos. The two other players not re-signed were wide receiver David Sills (who landed with the Atlanta Falcons) and backup swing tackle Cam Fleming.
Parham, 27, now gets a chance to continue his career in Pittsburgh.
