All the bests to you and yours this Thanksgiving holiday.
Good morning, Broncos Country.
It’s a beautiful Thursday morning and it also happens to be one of my favorite holidays of the year—Thanksgiving.
It’s a day filled with football, family, and friends. What can get better than that? On behalf of Mile High Report, I’d like to wish you all a wonderful holiday. Enjoy the day and better yet, I hope you get an extended four-day weekend to kick back, relax, and enjoy the full slate of football games.
Like the holiday’s name implies—it’s a day of giving thanks. And in 2024, there is a lot to be thankful for with respect to the Denver Broncos. It’s been a while since many of us could say that. With that in mind, here are some of things that have transpired relative to the franchise that I’d like to highlight and give thanks for.
- The Broncos are looking the best they have since their Super Bowl 50 season. They are on pace to make the playoffs if they take care of business in the final five games. How exciting is that?
- The emergence of Bo Nix. An 11-game sample size isn’t enough to predict what the future holds for Nix, but I’m thankful the rookie quarterback is improving each week. He has looked really good over the past few games, and I hope that trend continues. It’s been forever since we’ve seen quality quarterback play in the Mile High City.
- Sean Payton and Vance Joseph. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical of this duo being able to turn the franchise’s hopes around. However, I’ll eat crow on this one based on the results to date. Those two have done a tremendous job. Their body of work is even more impressive when you consider the historic amount of dead money the team is facing along with being behind most teams several seasons with respect to early-round draft picks.
How about you, Broncos Country? What are some team-related tidbits you are thankful for? Sound off in the comments section and let me know!
