The Broncos took care of their biggest needs in free agency, so what positions could they target in the early rounds of the draft?
With free agency largely done for the Denver Broncos, we’re all turning our attention to the draft. Heading into the offseason, I did a deep dive on our roster to look at strengths and weaknesses.
Our biggest needs in my mind were at inside linebacker and free safety.
The Broncos have addressed those areas as well as our need for more talent at tight end with the signings of Talanoa Hufanga, Dre Greelaw, and Evan Engram.
From where I’m standing, the Broncos could use a receiver, running back, and a center as positional targets that could contribute this season as early draft picks.
That’s not to say they shouldn’t pick players from other positions. From a strictly needs-based point of view, that’s those are the positions of greatest need for the team.
Now that April is here, I’m excited to see just who the Broncos add to their roster and how the draft pans out as the Broncos continue their journey to improvement.
