Another day, another honor for rookie quarterback Bo Nix.
Good morning, Broncos Country.
Another day, another award for Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix. For his efforts against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday, Nix was tabbed as Week 18’s FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week. It’s his second award for his offensive performance against the Chiefs. Yesterday morning, he was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Week.
Another accolade for the rook.
Congratulations to QB Bo Nix on being named a @FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week!

Now Nix and Broncos’ focus turns toward the Buffalo Bills for their Wildcard Round playoff matchup on Sunday. His historic campaign would continue if they found a way to upset the Bills on the road. In order to do that, he will have to play at a high level. While the Bills’ defense was a Top 12 unit overall in points allowed in 2024, they are in the bottom 12 of the league in passing yards allowed per game.
It’s not going to be an easy task to earn a ‘W’ in January in Buffalo. However, if we have learned one thing about Nix this season it’s this—he is resilient and has played well under pressure. Wouldn’t it be awesome if he etched himself into the history books again with an epic road playoff victory to begin his career?
Stranger things have happened. We’ll know how it all turns out in a few days.
As always, thank you for reading. Here is today’s slate of articles for Horse Tracks.
