Win or lose, the Denver Broncos chances of making the playoffs this year will change significantly depending on the outcome vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
All games in the NFL are critically important most weeks, but few will reach the level of importance for the Denver Broncos than this next one on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs. According to Pro Football Focus, Denver’s chances of making the playoffs if they will will jump to 72%. However, a loss and they plummet to 42%.

Oh, and by the way, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are undefeated right now.
Despite those unfortunate facts, I like the Broncos chances on Sunday. They have played Mahomes well under Vance Joseph and if Bo Nix can hit on those big plays, then I like their chances. Many don’t realize how explosive Nix has been as a rookie. He has 33 plays of 20+ yards, which is second only to Lamar Jackson on the season.
Sure the Broncos got beat down last week against the Baltimore Ravens, but that game could have been a lot closer had the offense connected on a few opportunities instead of coming up inches short. Baltimore turned those misfortunes into a blowout. It happens.
I’m looking for a strong performance from Denver tomorrow and a win. How about you?
