Big money players like Travis Kelce and Von Miller who no longer perform at a level consistent with their paycheck are likely to be cut.
It is just about house-cleaning time in the NFL. The season is over and teams are solidly looking toward the next season.
Everyone is 0-0.
Player contracts are now under scrutiny as teams are looking at the question “What have you done for me lately?”
It honestly amazes me to think that Travis Kelce for instance could be let go by the Chiefs Let’s be clear that he should be. He is not worth the amount of money he’s being paid for the level of play he’s bringing to the field at this point in his storied career.
It is fun to throw shade at division rivals and their stars, but even our beloved Von Miller falls into this category. He’s very likely to be a free agent this offseason as well.
Luckily for the Broncos, the toughest question we have this season is whether or not to cut John Franklin-Myers (we won’t and shouldn’t, but he’s the player on the roster with the most cap savings currently if the team did let him go).
