Taking a look at what positions are deep in this year’s NFL draft.
We’ve all been digging into what the Denver Broncos need this offseason, but what does this draft have to offer?
The general consensus I’ve seen is that this draft has depth in the following positions (in no particular order):
- Running back
- Edge
- Tight End
- Cornerback
- Offensive line
- Interior defensive line
That’s not to say that you can’t find a wide receiver, linebacker, quarterback, or safety in this draft, but that there just isn’t a very large quantity of talent at those positions.
The good news for Broncos fans is that the team has needs at running back, tight end, cornerback, and offensive line. There should be players for the team to load up on for many of the team’s needs as both instant upgrades in talent and developmental assets for the future.
With a deeper number of picks than they’ve had in recent years, the ammunition is there for the team to get their guys and possibly wheel and deal to move up or down the board as needed.
