With NFL free agency set to begin next months, outlets have begun publishing lists of the top players available across the league.
Pro Football Focus recently released a list of the top 100 pending free agents and ESPN published a list of their top 50 upcoming free agents. No players for the Denver Broncos made the top 50 on either list.
It’s not really a surprise as Denver has no big-name players set to hit free agency this spring. Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles would have undoubtedly made top-50 lists had he not received an extension in December.
Will Bolles staying in Denver, the team’s only current player on PFF’s list is defensive lineman D.J. Jones, who just made the cut at No. 97.
Two ex-Broncos players — pass rusher Baron Browning (No. 39) and safety Justin Simmons (No. 69) — also made PFF’s list, and ex-Denver quarterback Russell Wilson made both the ESPN (No. 42) and PFF (No. 44) lists.
Clubs can begin negotiating with pending free agents from other teams on March 10 ahead of the official start of NFL free agency on March 12.
