Ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning faced off in FanDuel’s “Kick of Destiny” event outside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Peyton missed his first kick wide left and Eli’s first attempt fell short. Peyton then hit the right upright on his second attempt before Eli struck his right down the middle, winning the competition.
Their older brother, Cooper, provided commentary for Fox alongside Rob Gronkowski, who participated in the first two editions of the Kick of Destiny (he failed both times).
“It’s unbelievable, I’ve been dreaming of this moment,” Eli said after beating Peyton. “I’ve just been grinding, been working so hard and finally, to be a kicker, it just feels right.”
Eli said he pulled a muscle during the kick but it was “well worth it.”
