The Broncos are hosting the productive Harold Fannin Jr. today for a pre-draft top-30 visit.
According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos are hosting Bowling Green tight end Harold Fannin Jr. on a pre-draft top-30 visit today. He was a highly productive tight end in college and now could be a day two selection for the Broncos in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Broncos are hosting Bowling Green TE Harold Fannin Jr. on a 30 visit today. All he did last year was register 117 catches, 1,555 yards, 10 TDs in 13 games.

First, a reminder or refresher on what exactly a top 30 visit is. Each NFL team in the days and weeks before the start of the NFL Draft is allowed to invite up to 30 different prospects to come in for what amounts to a job interview. From there, they will work them out, show them the facility, meet with coaches, and essentially have a job interview. It is just another step in the long scouting process leading up to the NFL Draft.
Fannin Jr. is a 6’3”, 241-pound tight end who is viewed as one of the more intriguing tight end prospects in the draft. The Athletic’s lead draft analyst Dane Brugler has Fannin Jr. graded at his 82nd overall prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft and grades him as the sixth-best tight end in the draft.
Fannin Jr. played a total of three seasons at Bowling Green and is coming off a very impressive season for them. Through three seasons, he totaled 180 receptions for 2,396 yards, and 17 receiving touchdowns. This past season, Fannin Jr. totaled 117 receptions for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns.
NFL.com’s draft analyst Lance Zierlein calls Harold Fannin Jr. an enigmatic prospect who has the potential to be a TE2 for an offense while having upside.
Enigmatic prospect featuring record-breaking single-season catch production despite a straight-legged playing style. Fannin’s lack of functional bend forces him on more linear tracks and cuts his route tree in half, but it doesn’t keep him from getting around the field and through the pattern with good speed. Fannin’s hands are automatic and he’s a competitive runner after the catch, but he needs to prove he can beat tight press-man coverage. He won’t block much, but his ability to stretch the field from the slot and make the tough catches gives him a shot as a potential TE2 with upside.
Harold Fannin Jr. exploded on to the scene last season and now is one of the more debated prospects in the draft.
I came away liking him a little more than anticipated. He catches everything, creates after the catch, produced against top-ranked teams, and will be only 20 years old when drafted. There is room for growth there and he comes with a high pass-catching upside. However, his inability to be an in-line traditional tight end may limit his role in the NFL.
This is why I like his fit with the Broncos. They signed veteran tight end Evan Engram to be Sean Payton’s ‘Joker’. He like Fannin, is not a traditional in-line tight end and will be used primarily as a big slot option. Engram is 30 years old, coming off a shoulder injury, and only signed a two-year deal, so you need some depth and insurance behind him. This is where a young and developmental prospect like Fannin fits.
I expect him to go in the third or fourth-round range and believe he would be an intriguing addition to the Broncos’ tight end room. Keep surrounding Bo Nix with as many weapons as you can.
