According to a report, the Broncos may have interest in WR Cooper Kupp is he’s released by the Rams.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted out that the Rams will release veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp if they cannot trade him before the start of the new league year. DNVR’s Zac Stevens added that while the Broncos were never going to trade for him, they may have more interest in him when released.
Broncos were never going to trade for Cooper Kupp, according to sources, but with him as a free agent, they may have more interest. https://t.co/JpAra8zM9d

Cooper Kupp will turn 32 years old this year and is far from being the receiver he was in his prime, but he can be a valuable piece in an offense with an established starter. He is a great route runner with reliable hands who could give Bo Nix a reliable target in the middle of the field. They can limit his snaps and have him be a key third down/red zone target who Bo Nix can target when he needs a big play.
The Broncos do have Courtland Sutton as their number one receiver with breakout receiver Marvin Mims followed by 2024 draft picks Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele. That’s an inexperienced group that could benefit from having Kupp around for a bit.
Now, Kupp does come with some concerns. He has not played more than 12 games the past three seasons and his production dropped a bit at the end of last season. Again, you’re not getting prime Cooper Kupp, but you’re getting a veteran receiver who can do well as a role player and add some more depth to the Broncos offense.
Kupp will probably have interest league-wide and we don’t know how much interest the Broncos will have at all, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they have some. I expect them to add a veteran wide receiver at some point, we’ll see if that veteran wide receiver ends up being Cooper Kupp.
