The Broncos sign the former Texas quarterback will serve as the Broncos third quarterback.
According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos have signed former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Sam Ehlinger to a one-year deal.

The team signed veteran Jarrett Stidham to serve as Bo Nix’s backup and now have signed Ehlinger to serve as their third-string quarterback. Zach Wilson served as the Broncos third quarterback last season but he signed with the Miami Dolphins this offseason to serve as their backup quarterback.
He was a sixth round pick for the Colts back in 2021 and was in their roster through the 2024 season. He appeared in 8 games for the Colts throughout his career including 3 starts and has totaled 573 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
The Broncos have been doing their due diligence on quarterbacks throughout the draft process so we’ll see if they’re done adding to their quarterback room. If they do, it’ll be a late round pick or an undrafted free agent.
