Former Denver Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, was fired up about the team’s first playoff berth since 2015.
During a recent episode of Sharpe’s “Nightcap” podcast with former star receiver Chad Johnson, Sharpe kicked off the show wearing his Broncos robe, emblazoned with his number 84, the number he wore with the team.

Later on in the podcast, Sharpe joked about Johnson’s former team, the Cincinnati Bengals, who the Broncos knocked out of playoff contention on Sunday.
“If your team did not win, I don’t want to hear you say ‘foot’ or ‘ball,’” Sharpe told Johnson. “So this is what we’re going to do right now; if your team isn’t going to the playoffs, I don’t want to hear you say ‘play’ or ‘offs’ and I don’t want you to use any words with ‘play’ or ‘offs’ in it!”
The Broncos finished with one more win than the Bengals this season, helping them claim the final AFC playoff spot in Week 18.

Sharpe is no stranger to a playoff run. Sharpe won two Super Bowls with the Broncos during his playing career, and a third title with the Baltimore Ravens. Denver now enters the postseason seeking another Super Bowl.
