Veteran free safety Andre Cisco is a fantastic fit for the Denver Broncos. He’s a young player who would fit perfectly with the Broncos’ young team.
The Denver Broncos need an upgrade at safety, and Andre Cisco is the player I’d love to see the Broncos pursue. He’s a young, talented free safety with playoff experience who could use a fresh start away from Jacksonville.
Andre Cisco — Safety
Age: 30 | Experience: Fifth | Height: 6’ | Weight: 210 pounds
Andre Cisco was a third round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. He was the 4th safety taken overall and considered by many a steal of a player out of Syracuse. In his four years of work, he’s gotten 229 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 8 interceptions, 24 passes defended, and 3 forced fumbles in 47 starts.
OverTheCap projects his salary to be in the $3.2M range per year.

Why the Broncos should sign Andre Cisco
This is a young player who has talent, capability, and would bring an edge to the free safety position for the Broncos. He came into the league with an ACL issue, but that’s not been an issue for years. While his career looks very sharp on paper, he’s been a part of a very tumultuous franchise and likely would benefit from a fresh start.
Why the Broncos shouldn’t sign Andre Cisco
As young as he is, there’s always the possibility that a bidding war breaks out and he gets priced too high for the Broncos. He’s a player that I’d love to see in the uniform, but not at a huge cost to our cap space as the Broncos have many holes on their roster to fill.
Final thoughts
The Broncos need a stable starting presence at free safety, and Cisco needs a team with which he can grow. I think his playstyle is a great fit for what Vance Joseph does and his play would be very likely to get developed to a new level under this coaching staff.
I’m a sucker for a great free safety and think if the Broncos made this move, they’d have a starter at free safety for years to come.
