Following Colorado’s 48-21 win over the UCF Golden Knights, Coach Prime and the CU recruiting staff have been the talk of the 2025 recruiting class and beyond. While the Buffs continue to pursue multiple 2025 five-star quarterbacks to replace Shedeur Sanders, multiple high-profile targets and Colorado commits will be in town this weekend.
Sources confirmed to DNVR that the following recruits will visit Boulder this weekend for Colorado vs. Kansas State.
Class of 2025
Four-star LB, Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng
Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng is the 76th overall player and 10th-ranked linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is listed at 6-foot-.5 and 205 pounds and plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Owusu-Boateng narrowed his list of schools down to six on September 16th but did not include Colorado. He is also scheduled to take an official visit to Texas on November 22nd.
He is the younger brother of Cleveland Browns linebacker and 2021 52nd-overall pick Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. This weekend will be an official visit for Owusu-Boateng.
Four-star DL, London Merritt
London Merritt committed to Ohio State on March 29th. He is the 111th overall player and 15th-ranked defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Merritt is listed at 6-foot-2.5 and 250 pounds and plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He included Colorado in his top 12 on May 30, 2023 and will be on an official visit this weekend.
Three-star DL, Christian Hudson
Christian Hudson committed to UCF on July 6th. He is the 450th overall player and 48th-ranked defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Hudson is listed at 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds and plays for Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL. This weekend will be an official visit for Hudson.
Three-star QB, Austyn Modrzewski
Austyn Modrzewski committed to South Dakota on June 11th. He is the 1738th overall player and 114th-ranked quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is listed at 6-foot-4.5 and 177 pounds and plays for Mountain Vista High School in Littleton, CO.
K/P, Vaughn Lennon
Vaughn Lennon is a four-and-a-half-star kicker and five-star punter according to Kohl’s National Rankings. He plays for Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers, FL. Colorado offered Lennon on September 30th.

Three-star IOL, Deacon Schmitt
Deacon Schmitt is the 77th-ranked interior offensive lineman and 8th-ranked recruit from Colorado in the 2026 class according to 247 Sports. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 302 pounds and plays for Windsor High School in Windsor, CO. Schmitt received his offer from the Buffs on October 3rd.
Four-star TE, Evan Jacobson
Evan Jacobson is the 334th overall player and 18th ranked tight end in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is listed at 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds and plays for Waukee High School in Waukee, IA. His older brother, Michael Jacobson, is a current tight end for the New Orleans Saints and has also played for the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks. Colorado offered Jacobson on July 22nd.

Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. committed to Colorado on July 13th. He is the 327th overall player and 48th-ranked wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Farrakhan Jr. plays for North Shore High School in Houston, TX.

Corbin Laisure committed to Colorado on April 27th. He is the 1299th overall player and 73rd-ranked tight end in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Laisure plays for Science Hill High School in Bluff City, TN.

Zayne DeSouza committed to Colorado on August 2nd. He is the 1684th overall player and 101st-ranked tight end in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. DeSouza plays for Loveland High School in Loveland, CO.
