Things just keep going from bad to worse for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes at Memorial Stadium against the Nebraska Cornhuskers today.
After falling into a 14-0 hole midway through the first quarter following a pick-six from quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Coach Prime’s other son on the field, safety Shilo Sanders, had to leave the game entirely.
With around six minutes remaining in the first quarter, Shilo was seen heading to the locker room by NBC’s cameras.
It’s not yet clear what happened to the Colorado safety, but Jake Schwanitz of DNVR Buffs reported that he is out for the rest of the game.
“Shilo Sanders has been taken back to the locker room,” he wrote on X.
“Shilo Sanders is out for the rest of the game,” he noted a few minutes later.

When asked by a user on X what happened, Schwanitz said he didn’t know but would follow-up later.
“Not sure. Will ask after the game,” Schwanitz said when asked what happened.
It’s seemingly only through sheer luck that the score gap between Colorado and Nebraska isn’t even larger than it is now.
Coach Prime made a rather head-scratching 4th down playcall in the first quarter that his defense was thankfully able to avoid turning into disaster on Nebraska’s ensuing drive.
The game is being played on NBC.
