Colorado is trying to get more NIL money for the football program going forward.
The school’s NIl Collective announced a “Prime Time Elite Dinner” for the football team on Apr. 26. It’ll be held during the weekend of the Black and Gold game, which is Colorado’s spring game.
Head coach Deion Sanders will serve as the host of the event while athletes and staff members attend.
Donors for the school will also get to attend and have the chance to sit next to Sanders with the VIP Prime Table tier. Otherwise, an individual ticket costs $1,053.
While casual fans won’t bite at that price, the biggest diehards and supporters of the program might. Besides, getting to be in the same room as Sanders is pretty tempting.
If this goes well, it could lead to more funds being raised for the football program as it tries to compete each year. Colorado needs good NIL money since Sanders is really active in the portal every year.
The Buffaloes finished the 2023 season with a 4-8 record after starting the season with four wins in their first six games. They’ll look to at least make a bowl when the 2024 season gets going.
