Colorado head coach Deion Sanders won’t be taking questions from one particular columnist for the foreseeable future.
Colorado athletics told The Denver Post last week that columnist Sean Keeler will no longer be able to ask questions due to “personal attacks on the program and Coach Sanders.”
“After a series of sustained, personal attacks on the football program and specifically Coach Prime, the CU Athletic Department in conjunction with the football program, have decided not to take questions from Denver Post columnist Sean Keeler at football-related events,” Colorado said in a statement, via The Denver Post.
Keeler recently broke his silence about the matter during an appearance on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike with Courtney Cronin and Peter Burns and confirmed that he’s not surprised by what happened.
“I mean, it’s disappointing. Is it surprising to me with what I know of the administration of Colorado and what I know of the Athletic Department of Colorado? It’s not surprising at all, it just isn’t,” Keeler said, (first transcribed by Awful Announcing).
Keeler won’t be able to ask Sanders questions for an indefinite amount of time.
Colorado will play its first game of the 2024 season on Thursday against North Dakota State.
Kickoff will be at 8 p.m. ET.
