Shelomi Sanders, the daughter of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders, announced on Tuesday that she’s entering the transfer portal.
Shelomi just wrapped up her first season with the Buffaloes. They made the Sweet 16 of this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Even though Shelomi appreciated her time at Colorado, she’s ready to see what opportunities are out there in the portal.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank my creator for allowing me to have this platform with amazing experiences,” Sanders wrote. “I want to thank my coaches and the university for accepting me to be a part of the family, it has been a blessing accomplishing as much as we did. I would like to thank my family and my support system for always uplifting and pouring into me on and off the court as a student athlete.
“My time at Colorado has been a treat with amazing experiences along the way. With intentional consideration and prayer, I have decided to enter the transfer portal.”
Sanders started her college career at Jackson State before transferring to Colorado last year.
Unfortunately for Sanders, she didn’t receive much playing time at Colorado. In fact, she only appeared in five games this season.
Shelomi Sanders has three years of eligibility remaining.
