It’s been a night to forget for Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes as they went into halftime against Nebraska trailing 28-0. But one of the many rough moments for the team tonight was the sight of star safety Shilo Sanders heading to the locker room with no apparent reason given.
Sanders’ exit came midway through the first quarter after the Buffaloes fell into a 14-0 hole following a pick-six thrown by his brother, Shedeur Sanders.
At the time, it was a mystery as to why Sanders was leaving the game and while most people assumed it was an injury, others joked that he was just leaving to avoid having to play against the Cornhuskers.
However, Coach Prime has revealed the real reason that his son had to leave the game. Speaking to the NBC sideline reporter at halftime, Sanders revealed that Shilo sustained a broken forearm and doesn’t expect him back in the game.
“I think (he has) a broken forearm so he won’t be back here at all,” Sanders said before returning to talking about the game.
Ouch.
A broken forearm could mean a much longer layoff than just this game against the Huskers.
We hope Sanders is able to make a quick and full recovery.
The game is being played on NBC.
