Week 2 of the 2024 college football season features a very intriguing matchup of unranked teams as Colorado take on Nebraska at Memorial Stadium.
Colorado are coming off a 31-26 win over FCS powerhouse North Dakota State that saw star quarterback Shedeur Sanders throw for 445 yards and four touchdowns. While they struggled to put the Bison away, they ultimately got the W.
Nebraska have their season-opener against UTEP tomorrow with true freshman Dylan Raiola leading the team. The Huskers actually won’t even have to go on the road until the end of September.
Following the outcome of yesterday’s Colorado-NDSU game, the line for Colorado-Nebraska has been revealed. Per DraftKings Sportsbook, Matt Rhule’s Huskers are seven-point favorites over the Buffaloes.
Last year’s meeting saw Colorado absolutely dusk Nebraska at Folsom Field as the Buffaloes won 36-14.
Nebraska would go on to win five of their next six before losing their final four games, while Colorado would lose eight of the final 10 games.
The ensuing offseason saw Nebraska land one of the best quarterbacks in the recruiting class in Raiola, while Colorado overturned a large swath of its roster again while retaining Sanders and star wide receiver Travis Hunter.
But only one of them can leave the game with an undefeated record.
The game will be played next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBC, Peacock and FuboTV.
