Deion Sanders is reportedly losing a recent hire to his Colorado coaching staff.
Per On3’s Matt Zenitz, the Minnesota Vikings are hiring Patrick Hill as an assistant defensive line coach. The Buffaloes added Hill as their defensive tackles coach last month.
The college football world reacted to the reported move.
“Definitely a loss for CU considering all the top-notch 2024 IDL prospects they were working on luring to Boulder,” Zach Segars of Mile High Sports noted.
“This would make it the second offseason in a row that Colorado has had a defensive assistant on board for just a few weeks before moving on to a different job,” Buffzone’s Brian Howell noted.
“No transfer windows for the coaches,” Ralph D. Russo of the Associated Press wrote.
“It’s crazy they are coming for Coach Prime’s staff this early,” a fan said.
Hill joined Sanders’ staff after working as an analyst at LSU. He previously coached for several other schools, including James Madison, West Virginia State, and Eastern Michigan.
He’ll reportedly jump to the NFL before coaching a game at Colorado.
