The Colorado Buffaloes are a bit dinged up ahead of their senior day matchup with the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Multiple key Buffs will be out due to injury, including starting nickel cornerback Preston Hodge. Hodge suffered an undisclosed injury ahead of CU’s game against Kansas last weekend and hasn’t recovered to the point where he can play against the Cowboys. Expect Colton Hood and Carter Stoutmire to cover OSU’s slot receivers in his place.
Running back Isaiah Augustave is expected to miss action today as well, who suffered an injury against Kansas. Augustave was not suited up for Colorado’s warmups, so it’s more than likely that Micah Welch and Dallan Hayden will pick up his workload.
Offensive lineman Phillip Houston, who was also injured against the Jayhawks in KC, will be out against Okie State. Houston suffered what is believed to be a severe knee injury, so we wish him the best of luck in his recovery. Tyler Brown will be filling in for Houston.
Jimmy Horn’s status will be unconfirmed until kickoff, but he’s suited up for warmups pregame, which is an encouraging sign. We likely won’t know if Jimmy is playing until he enters the game, but it would be great to see him one last time on senior day.
Kickoff is only 30 minutes away, so get excited! Sko Buffs!
