Last week, Colorado was in the headlines after banning columnist Sean Keeler from asking head football coach Deion Sanders questions.
Keeler, who works for The Denver Post, won’t be allowed to ask Sanders questions after the program said that there were a bunch of personal attacks labeled at Sanders.
Stephen A. Smith saw the news on Monday and doesn’t agree with how Sanders and the Colorado program have gone about the situation.
“I do not agree with how he has handled this situation. I do not agree with how the Colorado program has handled this situation. Quite frankly, I’m a bit disappointed because you have to have thicker skin than that,” Smith said.
All the reporter is trying to do is his job. He’s not trying to push an agenda by hating for the sake of hating.
Keeler won’t be able to ask questions for an indefinite period.
Colorado will open the 2024 season against North Dakota State this Thursday, August 29. The 2024 season will be a big year for the program after finishing the 2023 season with a 4-8 record.
Kickoff will be at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
