Heat power forward Markieff Morris took a cheap shot to the back from center Nikola Jokic on Monday night and he took to Twitter to respond to it.
Morris was fairly classy with it but did get the chance to call Jokic out for hitting him while his back was turned.
It originally started when Morris was looking for a foul on Jokic after he appeared to make contact with power forward Bam Adebayo. Morris went over to play defense on Jokic and got called for a foul and then it all broke loose with Jokic not liking it.
Jokic blindsided Morris in the back which started a bit of a scuffle while Morris was down in pain. Jokic then got ejected from the game even though Denver went on to win, 113-96. Morris got a flagrant 2 on that play.
There could be some discipline coming to Jokic after this incident. If there is, it’ll make the Nuggets even more shorthanded for a little while due to both Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. being banged up.
Murray is still recovering from a torn ACL, while Porter Jr. looks to be out for the “foreseeable future” with a back injury.
The Nuggets’ next game will be against the Pacers on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET.
